Celkon Win 400 now available for Rs 3,999 making it the cheapest Windows Phone handset in India

Last year, an Indian manufacturer called Celkon announced their first Windows Phone handset known as the Celkon Win 400. The device was announced with an estimated price of Rs 4,702, but it’s now available for sale and comes with an even lower price tag of Rs 3,999 (almost $63) making it the cheapest Windows Phone handset available in the region.

Don’t expect it to blow your mind though as it comes with entry-level specifications, but they are good enough when you consider the price tag accompanying it. The handset is available for purchase from Snapdeal.com, and here’s a list of specifications you get for Rs 3,999.

The handset flaunts a 4-inch display sporting a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset clocked at 1.2Ghz paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. If you find that storage a little less for your needs, there’s a microSD card slot as well which supports up to 32GB of memory.

Other notable features includes a 5MP rear shooter for photos and videos, 1.3MP front-facing camera, a 1,500 mAh battery and ships with the goodness of Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box.

The handset is also available on FlipKart, but it carries a higher price tag at the retailer.
