The budget-friendly Lumia 435 now available in Kenya, costs 10

Last month, Microsoft introduced what it touted as the cheapest Windows Phone, the Lumia 435. The handset is already available in India, and the latest market to get the budget-friendly offering from the Redmond-based giant is Kenya. Lumia 435 is now available for sale in Kenya carrying a KES 10,200 (almost $110) price tag.

The dual-SIM handset comes with a 4-inch display sporting a resolution of 800 by 480 pixels and a quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor to handle the processing needs of the handset. The Lumia 435 also features 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot for expandable storage, 2MP camera for photos and videos, a VGA front-facing camera and ships with Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system out of the box.

The handset doesn’t come with eye-popping specifications, but can be a good alternative for those who are looking for a spare handset, or just want to give Windows Phone a shot.
