If there is one thing that the Windows Phone Store has not been lacking over the last few years, is a large selection of image editing apps. Of these, Autodesk Pixlr stands out as one of the better examples.

And now, users on Windows 8 can experiment with it too, as the app has converted and become universal. Now available for free on the Windows Store, as well as the Windows Phone Store, Autodesk Pixlr gives users a number of fuss free options to edit their pictures.

First among these is the ‘autofix’ feature, much as with the ‘wand’ function with the in-built Windows Phone image editor, this analyses the image and quickly applies any issues that are found, such as poor contrast. Users can also apply a number of different filters, remove red-eye, crop and straighten, balance colors and add focal blur, among other things.

Do you use Autodesk Pixlr for your image editing? Let us know in the comments below.
