Atmosphere for Windows Phone recieves its biggest update yet and is now free

\

The publisher Appfinity has released an update for their Atmosphere app which brings both a substantial change in features and makes it free.

\

The app has always had a great take on presenting the weather by displaying extensive data in a simple and easy to read format. Now with their latest update to version 1.5, that look is further simplified using a new card interface. The interface successfully makes the information that much more accessible and readable when you are on the go and need a quick glance at the forecast. Appfinity achieves this through great use of data visualization in a very presentable manner that is easy to navigate on a smartphone or touch screen device.

\

Other new features included in the update are a Time Machine function, which allows users to see historic weather data as well as predictions years into the future based upon the historical data, and integration with AeroRadar, a $.99 app also from Appfinity for viewing layered weather radars from around much of the world. The changelog for 1.5 also notes that the update comes with:

\

    \

  • Used new ‘cards’ interface to give the UI a new and improved look
  • \

  • Time Machine Allows you see historic weather data for any time in history – International Radar due to integration with AeroRadar, my weather radar app for professional forecasters- New/Improved loading screen with animations
  • \

  • New Weather Layers such as Lightning, Ultra HD, and More (AeroRadar)
  • \

  • Made App Free
  • \

  • New Live Tile
  • \

  • New Live Tile transparency slider
  • \

  • AeroRadar Pro Reduced to 0.99
  • \

\

A great update for Atmosphere not just because of an improved look and added functionality that makes sense, but also because now it’s free. If you are looking for a weather app that can provide a lot of detail in a useful and quick glance manner, check out Atmosphere on the Windows Phone Store at the link below.
