Hello, everyone, and welcome to OnPodcast: The OnMSFT.com Postcast. This is our new podcast series staring our contributing writers, Kareem Anderson and Arif Bacchus.

Each Sunday, our podcast will cover a look at some of the topics that have been trending in the world of Microsoft over the past few weeks. We also have a special segment known as “The Week Ahead” where we talk about some topics we think will be big for Microsoft moving into the next week.

In this week’s show, we have a very special episode. We will answer your questions about the Surface Duo. Kareem also asks Arif questions about how he’s using his Duo and if he’s encountered any issues or bugs. Arif will also give the Duo an early mini review, towards the end of the episode.

Segment 1: Arif Answers your questions about the Duo (1:13- 13:13)

In this segment, Arif answers your questions about the Duo. Here, he takes a look at what happens to the back screen on the Duo when it’s folded over. (It turns off.) Arif also talks about the battery life in single and dual-screen mode, as well as how the inking experience works in OneNote and the sticky notes app. To end the segment, Arif talks about how file storage and external drives work on the Duo and will plug in a USB-drive as a demonstration.

Segment 2: Kareem and Arif talk about experiences on the Duo (13:13-26:18)

In this second segment, Arif and Kareem talk about the various experiences on the Duo. Arif talks about spanning apps on the Duo, getting used to the Duo’s aspect ratio, using Instagram and Snapchat, as well as TikTok and some of the other apps in his daily life. Arif also shows off how you can play a game while reading a comic, or reading two websites at once. There’s even talk about the productivity aspect, too.

Segment 3: Camera impressions, and mini review (26-19-end)

In this ending segment, Arid gets into his impressions with the camera on the Duo. Arif also gives the Duo an early rating, citing his experiences thus far with getting used to the camera, the hardware, as well as the flipping of the screens and more.
