Welcome back OnMSFT.com readers to yet another weekly episode of the OnPodcast. If you’re new here, this is the weekly podcast series with our contributing writers, Kareem Anderson and Arif Bacchus.

We’re at episode 31 this week, and it was quite the episode to watch if you’re an Xbox fan. Our own Arif Bacchus went hands-on with Xbox Cloud Gaming on Windows 10 and iOS, and offered up his thoughts on the experience. After that, Kareem and Arif went on to talk about a rumored change for the Microsoft Store on Windows 10, which could bring Win32 apps to the store.  The Podcast then took a turn to mention a big change to the Windows 10 Taskbar, with the rollout of News and Interests being announced by Microsoft.

As always, the show ended with The Week Ahead. For the Week Ahead this week, Arif and Kareem looked ahead to some of the topics planned on the editorial side at OnMSFT this week. That included a tease of our Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 review, and a review of MLB The Show 21. We also briefly touch on Linux GUI apps in Windows 10, too.

Topic 1: Xbox Cloud Gaming comes to Windows 10 and iOS

Xbox Cloud Gaming

OnPodcast began with Arif’s impressions of Xbox Cloud Gaming on Windows 10 and iOS. Arif showcased how xCloud works on iOS, and talked about his experience with the latency and the video quality. He then shifted to the experience with Edge on Windows 10, both with a hardwired Ethernet connection, as well as over WiFi. Arif even showcased touch controls on a Windows 10 2-in-1, too.

Topic 2: Windows 10 App Store Rumor

Microsoft Store Windows 10

If you missed the report from Windows Central, then this second topic on OnPodcast is for you. Kareem got into the rumors of a possible revamped app store in Windows 10, and some major changes that could be coming. He and Arif talked about Win32 app support, new ways for developers to update apps, new apps that could be coming to the store, and a whole lot more.

Topic 3: All Windows 10 users will get News and Interests in their taskbar in the coming weeks

News and Interests

The third and final topic of discussion this week was a look at News and Interests in the Windows 10 Taskbar. Again, if you missed it, this feature was in testing with Windows Insiders, but Microsoft now says it is ready to roll it out to every Windows 10 user in the coming weeks. We recapped the feature and offered our thoughts on it.

Week Ahead: Reviews and more!

Our show ended with the traditional Week Ahead segment. For the week ahead this week, we’re looking at some of the editorial things planned at OnMSFT this week. That includes Arif’s hands-on with Xbox Cloud Gaming on Windows and iOS, our Dell XPs 13 2-in-1 review, and MLB the Show 21 review. We also talked about Linux GUI apps in Windows 10, too.
