You will soon be able to delete chats in Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is set to get a new feature tagged 90723 in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap. The feature will let users delete 1:1 chats, group chats, and meeting chats from the Teams desktop or mobile application.

However, the chats will be deleted only on the user’s end. The conversation history will not be affected for other participants in the group chat or meeting chat. The feature is set to start rolling out in early December and is expected to hit broad availability by mid-December.

To access this feature, you will need to click on the ellipsis at the top and select the Delete option to clear your chat list.

Admins will also have the capability to disable this feature via the admin portal under messaging policies. Users in the tenant will not be able to access the feature from this point.
