Yahoo Messenger app for Windows 8.1 receives update, bug fixes and improvements on board

For those of you who use Yahoo Messenger to keep in touch with friends or family, there is a Windows 8.1 app for that! The app has received a minor update, addressing bugs and improving performance. The update also addresses an issue with authorizing new buddies.

“Yahoo! Messenger is a totally free instant messaging client compatible with the Yahoo! instant messaging network, and is designed especially for Windows 8.1 devices,” the app description reads. With this app, you can send and receive files, such as pictures, documents, and videos. You can set your status, use animated emoticons, engage in stealth mode, and more.
