Xbox Video app is where Shark Week fans can catch missed episodes

Shark Week

Have you seen all the Shark Week adverts but not had a chance to watch a single episode yet? Xbox Live has you covered. Each of the Shark Week 2015 specials can be found on Xbox Video app right now, and for the duration of the week.

Each day this week, Microsoft’s Xbox Video entertainment service will post that day’s specials. The fun begins with Shark Trek, which will run until Saturday; when Shark Week 2015 ends. The Discovery Channel won’t release all the specials in a single package for a while yet so this is your best chance to catch up. However, each special will cost $1.99 US in standard-definition and $2.99 US in high-definition. As now, the Discovery Channel does not offer an Xbox 360 or Xbox One app for viewing on the big screen. Some creative fans may use casting or desktop mirroring as workarounds, but many of those options still require a cable subscription

However, if you’re still tied to cable and subscribe to The Discovery Channel, participating areas can access the Discovery Channels through their Xbox One using the built-in TV options. Xbox One users can simply say “Xbox, watch Discovery” if they own a Kinect. Other users can opt to use the Xbox One Guide to access the channel. During Shark Week, the Discovery Channel showcases the best in shark-related documentaries and specials. Check here to see the full schedule for shark week.
