Xbox UK team pranks unsuspecting Dead Rising 3 gamers

We are quickly approaching the one month anniversary of the Xbox One launch. But getting the device to market, was just the first step for Microsoft, the real fun begins now that the product is in the hands of gamers. There are new titles to push out to retail, pranks to be played on the innocent customers..,wait, what? Today, Major Nelson turned his blog over to UK counterpart Graeme Boyd for a bit of fun.

Microsoft’s Xbox UK team built a fake VIP room that could rival a good Hollywood movie set. It looks innocent enough — much like a nice living room, or home theater. There’s a big screen TV on the wall, speakers all around, a comfy sofa, nice lighting, and an Xbox One with Dead Rising 3 queued and ready to be played. What could possibly go wrong?

Plenty, as it turns out. Microsoft invited in gamers a couple at a time, explaining that it wanted a quiet place to allow them to have an “immersive experience”. And that was certainly provided! I won’t spoil it for you, because you can watch the video below and enjoy it for yourself.
