Xbox will be teaming up with L.A. Lakers star and noted philanthropist Dwight Howard to kick off a remodeling project for the Boys & Girls Club of San Fernando Valley. Part of the project will include the creation of a student gaming lab, complete with gaming PCs and Xbox Series S consoles — and not just ordinary Series S consoles, but Lakers-themed purple and gold Series S consoles.

Howard, who has long been a supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs, also made an appearance at the project’s opening event for a meet and greet with some lucky students, as well as sparing some court-time with the kids.

The project is the most recent example of Microsoft’s Dream Space program, which works with communities the world over in helping to provide education experiences that foster imagination and creativity. in particular it aims to engage students and teachers in innovative STEM education experiences.
