The Xbox team is bringing back its Summer Spotlight. Judging by the list, this summer’s gameplay will be dominated by exclusive betas for the month of August 2016. The idea behind Xbox’s Summer Spotlight is to highlight new games coming to the Xbox One over the next six weeks (July 26 – Sept 5) as summer kicks into full swing, and the lure of air condition gameplay grows even stronger. Major Nelson is planning big things for the Summer Spotlight:

To celebrate the Summer Spotlight, I will be giving away an Xbox One S, Xbox Elite Wireless Controllers and copies of every Summer Spotlight title. Details coming soon!

But wait there’s more! Earn 4,000 Rewards Credits for diving into these releases featured in Summer Spotlight. Just spend $40 on featured game betas, previews, and digital releases Enjoy these great games with the convenience of downloading them right from your living room to your Xbox One!

For those interested, here are names and dates of games soon to be available for download:

15 July:

Kerbal Space Program

The Solus Project

19 July:

Sword Coast Legends

26 July:

We Happy Few (Game Preview)

Dungeon Punks

Hyper Light Drifter

27 July:

Action News Heroes (coming soon)

29 July:

Uno (coming soon)

Most notably among the betas is We Happy Few which was well received by crowds at this year’s E3 2016 convention. Rewards members will be among the first to get their hands on this eerily dystopian version of BioShock. As previously stated, there will be more titles coming down the pipe and the gamers are encouraged to follow either Xbox representative Major Nelson or the various official Xbox social media accounts for updated listings every Tuesday.
