Xbox One SmartGlass update brings Universal Remote Control and OneGuide

Xbox One SmartGlass has been updated on Windows Phone, iOS and Android. The latest version of the app makes even better use of tablets and smartphones as second screens with the addition of Universal Remote Control and OneGuide features.

The remote control feature makes it possible to use a mobile device just like a remote control to navigate media content, switch channels and configure recordings. OneGuide provides easy access to channel listings, apps channels and more.

The app can be used to compare achievements with other users, as well as to watch Twitch broadcasts, helping to create a more immersive Xbox One experience. There’s also a redesigned home screen and the ability to reorganize pins.

The update applies to iOS and Android as well as Windows Phone and mobile version of Windows and you should be able to grab the latest code right around now.
