Xbox One hitting Indian stores on September 23rd, price starts at Rs 39,990

Microsoft had previously announced that it will launch Xbox One in India and several other markets including Japan in September this year. Earlier this morning at the E3 event, the company confirmed that the gaming console will finally start selling in India on September 23, 2014. The console will cost you Rs 45,990 ($777), though, you can also get the Kinect-less bundle for Rs 39,990 ($675).

The Xbox One bundle will include the gaming console with a 500GB hard drive (you can attach two more external hard drives to the console, thanks to a recent software update), a Blu-ray player (a typical Blu-ray player will cost you Rs 7,000 in your local market), Wireless Controller, and motion sensor Kinect. Though, you can opt for the other bundle and save some money if you don’t want a Kinect sensor.

In addition, all the users will also get 14-day trial of Xbox Live Gold (a premium feature that brings several exciting features, including two free game titles a month). Furthermore, you can attach the Xbox One console with your cable box and enjoy the TV portion as well. Not to forget that you will be able to use several streaming services as well, though most of them aren’t available in India. In addition, users will also get a Game DVR feature which will allow them to record and share their game achievements.

Wondering what difference a Kinect can make? The motion sensor enhances your Xbox One experience. Not only is it a must for games that require gesture controls and biometric sign-in, it also offers instant scan of QR codes and lets you make Skype video calls as well as listen to voice commands. Make your choice. Let the games begin!

Update: Microsoft has confirmed that the gaming console will also become available in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan on the same date.
