Microsoft released today the 1906 system update for the Xbox One, which is a minor update ahead of a bigger release coming in October. The Redmond giant has yet to officially announce the 1906 update. Despite no official word on the 1906 release, we took a look at previous Xbox Insider announcements to see what’s new with this release.
There are various quality improvements in this update, including fixes addressing the stability of audio when the console comes out of Instant on mode. A recent Xbox Insider changelog also mentioned fixes for Narrator bugs in Settings, as well as various UI alignment, fixes to the Home section and settings.
Microsoft previously wanted to ship a new estimated install time feature for apps and games in the 1906 update, but it looks like this feature will now ship with the 1910 system update coming later this Fall. We’ll update this post if Microsoft shares more details about the Xbox One 1906 update later today.
