Xbox Live Gold, a subscription service that adds numerous benefits for customers, does come at a price. However, every once in a while the company offers a free trial, and a brand new one is coming up this weekend, just in case you wish to find out what your missing.
This weekend customers in both the US and Canada will get a free weekend to try the service out. Obviously, Microsoft’s intention is to entice new customers.
“If you’ve always wanted to check out the latest entertainment experiences on Xbox 360, now is your chance. Xbox Live Gold member benefits for Xbox 360 will be free for all Xbox Live subscribers from 14-16 February in the U.S. and Canada. During this free Gold weekend, all Xbox Live entertainment apps and online multiplayer gaming will be available for free”, states Microsoft’s Larry Hryb.
The whole thing kicks off at 12:01am on February 14th (happy Valentine’s Day – we’re sure your significant other will love you spending it playing games) and ends at 11:59pm. Times are for the Pacific time zone.
