Starting next month, the complete Gears of War series will be available on Xbox Game Pass with the addition of Gears of War 4. That’s right, the latest episode released a year ago will join Gears of War Ultimate Edition plus the four Gears of War Xbox 360 games already available on Microsoft’s gaming subscription service.
With Halo 5: Guardians, Gears of War 4 is one of the few games on the catalog to be enhanced for the Xbox One X, with support for 4K graphics, 60FPS and HDR. Additionally, it’s the third Xbox Play Anywhere title available with Xbox Games Pass along with Recore: Definite Edition and Halo Wars: Definitive Edition: this means that subscribers can start playing the game on Xbox One and pick up where they left on a Window 10 PC at no additional cost.
In addition to Gears of War 4, Xbox Games Pass will pick up six other games on December 1: these are Darksiders Warmastered Edition, Mass Effect, Megaman 10, Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, This War of Mine: The Little Ones and Casey Powell Lacrosse 16. In case you missed it, the critically-acclaimed titles Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Resident Evil have also been added to the catalog in November.
Xbox Games Pass is really good value for Xbox gamers, and its great to see Microsoft making recent AAA titles more accessible than ever. If you have yet to try the service, we remind you that you can try Xbox Game Pass for just $1 for your first month of subscription through November 27.
