Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming (Project xCloud) technology has reached an important new milestone with the new support for original Xbox and Xbox 360 games. Until now, only backwards-compatible Xbox One games were playable on Android devices via Microsoft’s cloud gaming technology, but that’s changing starting today with a selection of 16 original Xbox and Xbox 360 games.

“We’ve listened to the feedback, going all the way back to our earliest cloud gaming preview, and making games from previous generations available on mobile devices has been one of the most requested features by the community,” the Xbox team explained. Fable II, Fallout: New Vegas, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion are among the new Backward Compatible games playable with Xbox Cloud Gaming starting today, and you can find the full list below:

  • Banjo-Kazooie
  • Banjo-Tooie
  • Double Dragon Neon
  • Fable II
  • Fallout: New Vegas
  • Gears of War 2
  • Gears of War 3
  • Gears of War: Judgment
  • Jetpac Refuelled (touch controls enabled)
  • Kameo
  • Perfect Dark
  • Perfect Dark Zero
  • The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  • Viva Piñata (touch controls enabled)
  • Viva Piñata: TIP (touch controls enabled)

The Xbox team said today that more OG Xbox and Xbox 360 games will be cloud-enabled soon. Xbox Cloud Gaming is currently only available with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, which also includes Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Xbox Live Gold. Over 100 Xbox games are currently cloud-enabled, with many of them supporting touch controls on Android phones and tablets.
