Microsoft’s official Xbox app updated on both iOS and Android smart devices today. The update, which brought it to Version 2012.1207.2321 on iOS and Version 2012.1207.2233 on Android, didn’t make anywhere near as many changes as its recent major design revamp update but it did add some extra functionality to the direct messaging feature which users had been wanting for a very long time now.

Send custom images in Chats! You can now send photos from your device or directly from your camera to your Xbox friends via a Chat message.

Do you use the Xbox app on your iPhone or Android smartphone? Will you use this new image feature in chats? Share your thoughts with the community in the comments below and then follow us on Twitter and Facebook for more Xbox gaming news.
