WTF: Nokia's latest Lumia 2520 advertisement emphasizes work and place, is sorta creepy

Nokia has rolled out a new video advertisement promoting the all new Windows RT 8.1 powered Lumia 2520 tablet, and we aren’t sure what to make of it. It seems borderline creepy. The idea of the video is to promote work and play with the Lumia 2520.

In the video, we are greeted by a man in a barber shop looking for a haircut. The barber, straight out of a horror flick – and has a nasty set of fingernails – offers the man a Lumia 2520 (via his creepy sidekick) while he gets his hair makeover. Things turn even weirder when the barber appears and disappears, cutting the mans hair as he uses the tablet.

We’ve embedded the video below for your viewing pleasure. We’re not sure if this is marketing genius or if this is the “worst ad ever” as YouTube commenters are saying. Well, check it out below and you be the judge.

The Lumia 2520 features a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1080 display, powered by Windows 8.1 RT. This device also features 32GB of internal storage and a 2.15GHz quad-core Qualcomm 8974 (ARM) chipset. There is also a 6.7 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and the device weights 1.3 pounds.
