About a week ago, we reported about a new Office Insider build for Android, as part of Microsoft’s new Office Insider program. Today, Microsoft has rolled out a new build for those of you on Windows 10, adding a few new cool features.
Office 2016 Insider build 16.0.6568.2016 for Windows desktop is out now and it comes with new features like dark theme in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. To activate dark mode, simply go into Options and under Office Theme, simply select Black. Microsoft has also added new funnel charts in Excel, as well as ink annotations in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Other improvements in this particular build include easier contact searching in Outlook by showing you pictures alongside the contact name. Microsoft has also added new IFS, MAXIFS, MINIFS, and SWITCH functions to Excel, as well as the ability to send a document via the Share pane either as an attachment or as a PDF without leaving the confines of your worksheet.
PowerPoint now lets you know what slide each person is working on during collaboration, which is a fantastic improvement for those of you who are constantly working on team presentations.
