Wix and Office 365 team up to help small businesses make websites

Website creator Wix showed an advertisement during the Super Bowl featuring Brett Favre, Terrell Owens, and Emmitt Smith creating their own small business websites. The commercials emphasized everyday people making websites without knowing code or being tech savvy. Wix has almost 60 million users and focuses heavily on small and medium businesses.

In an effort to allow more users to create their own websites Wix has launched a combined effort with Office 365. Users can now directly make a website through Office 365 and connect their domain from Microsoft to a domain they create using Wix.com.

Designing websites can be a large endeavor and often has required coding but both Office 365 and Wix have expressed that it’s important to them to allow small businesses to create effective websites. Small businesses often don’t have programmers but also don’t need them with software that is more point and click. Avishai Abrahami, Co-founder and CEO of Wix stated that  “Wix simplifies the website and mobile site creation and management processes…Through Office 365, we are excited to provide even more business owners with an easy and affordable platform on which to create, manage and grow their business online.”
