Windows versions of Android-powered Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 lineup said to be in the works

For those who admired the Android-powered Yoga Tablet 2’s design and specifications, there is good news. The company is apparently working on a few Windows 8.1 versions of the tablet. From the leaked images, it looks Lenovo is prepping for the launch of an 8-inch, and a 10-inch version of Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 running Windows 8.1. It is likely also working on a 13-inch version of Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro.

According to the leaked image, a 10.1-inch Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 has a Windows logo on the front, suggesting that it runs on Windows instead of Android. However, apart from the logo, everything else looks exactly like company’s Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 lineup that runs Android, except for maybe the darker shaded color of the tablet, as the Android ones have a silver-esque body.

At present, we do not exactly know what hardware the tablets will come equipped with, but it is likely that it may carry the same specifications as their Android counterparts. All three tablets will have a full HD screen, powered by an Intel Bay Trail processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space.

We have already seen HTC use the same hardware it used for Android handset to run Windows Phone, it will be interesting to see how full-fledged version of Windows will run on a machine that has previously embraced Android.
