Windows Store's weekly Red Stripe Deal offers up six apps discounted at nearly 50%

Starting today, January 2nd, Microsoft is offering a weekly Windows Store special where select apps, games, and Xbox titles are offered at a huge discount. Dubbed “Red Stripe Deals,” you can score a huge discount on popular titles.

“Starting Jan. 2, the weekly Red Stripe Deals in the Windows Store – which saves you at least 50 percent on certain apps, indie games and Xbox titles – is doubling its selection to six choices,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post. Here are the six apps that are discounted as of today:

  • Hydro Thunder Hurricane ($4.99, regularly $9.99)
  • Dungeon of Legends ($1.99, regularly $4.49)
  • Pettson’s Inventions 2 ($1.49, regularly $2.99)
  • Big Mountain Snowboarding ($1.49, regularly $3.49)
  • Files&Folders ($3.99, regularly $7.99)
  • Pocket Yoga ($1.49, regularly $2.99)

The Files&Folders app listed above is a high quality app that is worth every penny, in our opinion. The app is pretty much a fully functional file manager for Windows 8.1. You can even try out the app before you purchase it. Pocket Yoga, on the other hand, is a great companion app for Yoga lovers as it allows you to practice Yoga using your Windows tablet.

Let us know in the comments below if you like any of these apps!
