Looking for a comprehensive yet light-weight app to edit your photos on Windows 8 or Windows RT? Check out Photo Editor, from Aviary. Its free and it packs a punch!

“Aviary is a powerful, fast, and fun photo editor which we created because we wanted an easy way to edit our photos on the go with no fuss. We’ve included all the tools you need, in a super intuitive interface so you can get right to editing,” the app description reads. The app features one-tap auto enhance, photo effects, stickers, crop/rotate photo, ability to adjust brightness/contrast/saturation, sharper and blur, draw and add text, and cosmetic tools such as red-eye removal, blemish removal, and whiten teeth. Aviary is also offering the SDK to this app so developer s can add this photo editor to their own Windows 8 app! Pretty cool offer!
