Windows Store App Highlight: Notepad Classic, A Great Text Editor For Your Touch Device – onmsft.com

Notepad Classic

Looking for a Metro-styled text editor for your Windows 8 or Windows RT system, which allows you to do basic functions such as find, replace, save as, etc. Notepad Classic is a free app available in the Windows Store which offers the classic Notepad experience on your touch device.

“Do you ever wish for a simpler time when the a text editor was just a text editor – well travel back to those fantastic times, now in a amazing new UI, with Notepad Classic,” the app description reads. Notepad Classic supports everything that Notepad does, such as find, replace, save, as well as the ability to adjust display settings such as font size, font color, background color, and on-screen touch keyboard support! Notepad Classic even offers a spell checker!
