With it being just 24 hours before the Thanksgiving holiday in the US, Microsoft quietly released its latest Windows Server Preview build. Windows Server Insider Preview build 18282 marks a rather substantial release just before a holiday, as it becomes the first 19H1 development branch Server release.

The details of the release are still shrouded in mystery as authors over at Neowin discovered the build on the Windows Insider Preview Download page before the company offered any accompanying release notes. At this moment in time, it is unclear if the release is official or perhaps a slip, as it seems odd to release such a significant branch development tool a day before a major holiday and offer no details about it.

As of now, the preview remains live for download here, and we optimistically expect to see some release notes in the coming hours as the remaining Microsoft employees depart the offices for the holiday over the next few hours; it would seem odd to release this build and not talk about it until next week.
