The Windows Phone Recovery Tool just got a mandatory update to patch up a few of its imperfections. The new update to the tool adds a few translations that were missing from the previous version of the application, as well as making small improvements to usability and fixing up some of the bugs that have been reported for the application.

If you need to reset your Windows Phone for any reason, the Windows Phone Recovery Tool is the way you’re going to need to go about that. The tool is a desktop app that you’ll have to get straight from Microsoft. If you’re looking for how to go about restoring your phone in detail, you can check out our how-to right here.

Remember that restoring your Windows Phone is going to wipe all of your apps, games, data, music, texts, etc. So you should really only restore your phone as a last resort.
