Lumia 830

\

Microsoft’s Lumia 830, alongside the selfie-focused Lumia 735 is set to hit retail in Malaysia this October 3rd. The mid-range flagship device will come with a RM1399 ($430) price tag, while the budget-friendly Lumia 735 costs RM999 ($307). Customers will be able to purchase both devices from October 3rd onwards at online retailers, as well as in-store.

\

Additionally, the first 500 customers to purchase the Lumia 830 will get an Office 365 Home Premium subscription for free — it’s a good deal, but will it be enough to attract consumers to switch to Windows Phone? We’ll find out soon enough.

\

Lumia 735 features a 4.7-inch 720p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, microSD card support of up to 128GB, 5MP front-facing camera, 6.7MP rear camera, 2,200 mAh battery and runs Windows Phone 8.1 Denim out of the box.

\

As for the costlier Lumia 830, there’s a 5-inch display sporting a 1280 by 720 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the same Snapdragon 400 chipset is present, alongside 1GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. The mid-range offering comes wit ha 10MP PureView camera with OIS, a 2,200 mAh battery and runs the same Windows Phone 8.1 Denium update.

\

The handsets are also available for pre-orders in the region.
