Windows Phone App Hub causing developers to complain, Microsoft working on a fix – onmsft.com

Windows Phone app developers have been complaining lately that it take too long to approve and publish Windows Phone apps and the App Hub is too slow. Microsoft announced plans to update the infrastructure so developers can be happy.

With apps in the marketplace reaching 80,000 and 54 markets to sell those apps, Microsoft’s Windows Phone Marketplace has been under tremendous load. Microsoft is working on a short-term plan by adding more server capacity to better handle the increased load, as well as streamlining processes to accelerate the rate at which apps are uploaded, certified, and published. The long-term goal is to have a completely new and faster infrastructure by the end of summer. on top of that, Microsoft has updated their App Hub to be faster and more responsive. Microsoft plans to reveal more about improving developer experience in the coming months.
