BLU Win HD officially receives Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1

Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 officially comes to the BLU Win HD

Pushing updates to phones has always been a difficult dance between the OS makers, the phone manufactures, and the cellular operators. Despite all this confusion and complexity Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 has finally made its way to the BLU Win HD. This update may be optimized to run more efficiently on the low end hardware, but there is no firmware accompanying this update. The update being pushed is a good sign that phone manufactures are still working on delivering updates to the phones they have sold.

When news of Windows 10 running on phones began to come out, some Windows Phone users were worried that handset makers would begin working on Windows Phone 10 and leave their previous customers in the cold. This release of update 1 to the BLU Win HD shows that companies are still concerned with the products which are currently in their customer’s hands. Update 1 is a minor update when compared to 8.1 but it does bring some nice features like live folders and IE improvements. If you have a BLU Win HD look for an update now and get on Update 1!
