Windows Phone 8.1 gets listed on the Microsoft website

Microsoft has given Windows Phone 8.1 another official outing by listing it on the Windows Phone website. There has been no announcement about the upcoming version of the mobile operating system, but if you head over to the Windows Phone website, you’ll see a link for Windows Phone 8.1 as well as Windows Phone 8.

At time of writing, clicking the link doesn’t do much other than reveal an error message — “Not found. The page you want doesn’t exist on this site.” — and it’s not clear whether the link and page will be taken down or whether it will be populated with new information.

The link was spotted by, amongst others, Tom Warren from the Verge who said “No details though, but oops” in a Twitter post.

This latest appearance comes just days after Windows Phone 8.1 references started to pop up in the Windows Phone App Store, and there have been numerous leaks about features that will be included.

Of course, more will be revealed at BUILD in April when Windows Phone 8.1 should be officially unveiled. Watch this space!
