A new update to Windows Phone 7.8 is apparently being rolled out by Microsoft to certain users, but no word on exactly what this update consists of and if it resolves the Live Tile bug that has plagued some Windows Phone 7.8 users as of late.

For those that don’t know, the Live Tile issue revolves around the tile causing continuous web requests which ultimately results in battery drain. The other issue is the failure of the Live Tile to update. Apparently, this update (build 8860) is being rolled out to some users in Europe and other countries. So if you have a Windows Phone 7.8 device, check for an update to see if you have one!
