Windows App Studio Beta updated, gets Microsoft Advertising and Instagram Search support

Several months back, Microsoft launched Windows Phone App Studio Beta, a tool that allows you to create an app for Windows Phone without having any development experience. Microsoft relaunched the tool as Windows App Studio Beta last month, allowing you to create Windows apps as well! Now, the company has rolled out an update for the App Studio.

“Windows App Studio Beta launched 9 months ago and just crossed the 1 million user mark. Fans of all skill levels are creating apps online and watching their creations come to life on both Windows and Windows Phone. We’re celebrating today by releasing a few new features,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.

You can now display Instagram photos by hashtag search, along with the ability to add Microsoft Advertising into your apps to earn money. All you have to do is enter the App ID and Ad Unit ID from the Microsoft pubCenter. Microsoft has also added some tips and suggestions on using the Windows App Certification Kit, so apps can pass certification with ease.

If you have yet to try it out, head over to http://appstudio.windows.com/ to check out the Windows App Studio Beta.
