Windows 8.1 Update available not only on MSDN but also... TechNet

There has been a lot of news coming out of Build 2014 today, and one of the highlight was the official unveiling of Windows 8.1 Update. If you’re yet to read it, Zac has an in-depth review ready for your perusal.

But while we already knew what was included in the update thanks to all of the leaks that emerged, one thing we didn’t know was when we could — officially — get our hands on the bits. We now know that the latest operating system update will be made publicly available on 8 April — so only a few days to go — but you may not have to wait that long.

Microsoft also announced that Update would be made available to MSDN subscribers today, but these are not the only people who can grab the update ahead of the launch. Anyone who still has a TechNet account will also find that the download is available to them.

As TechNet has been discontinued, there are nowhere near as many users as there used to be, but if you can count yourself in that number, log into your account and get downloading right now!
