Windows 8.1 powered Dell Venue 8 Pro 80inch tablet now shipping

Dell recently unveiled the 8-inch Venue 8 Pro, which starts at a decent $299. This device is powered by Windows 8.1 and is sure to be a great alternative to the Surface.

The Venue 8 Pro features an 8-inch HD IPS display with optional 4G/LTE connectivity. The tablet comes powered by Intel’s “Bay Trail” quad-core processor and features an optional Dell Active Stylus. The device has a long battery life – in fact, the battery offers up to 10 hours of life.

“Starting at $299.99 (U.S.), the Venue 8 Pro has an incredible HD IPS display running at a 1280 x 800 resolution and an Intel Atom processor Z3740 (up to 1.8GHz Quad-Core) for really snappy performance and up to 10 hours of battery life,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.

The device also features a 1.2MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera. You can also choose a 32GB or 64GB storage option. If you haven’t already, head over to Dell’s website to check out the device.
