Windows 8: Pattern Logon and Metro style Webcam App

More information has leaked on the Windows 8 front, as this time we learn about a new pattern logon screen and a metro style webcam app. These are some neat features that are sure to make Windows 8 something to drool over.

The first neat feature is a metro style pattern logon screen that seems to be based off of Android. In a leaked video from MyDigitalLife, we see a Metro styled logon prompt that allows you to use a pattern as your password. This seems very similar to Google’s Android pattern logon system.

In another leaked video, we see a Metro styled visual design and controls for a webcam application. From what we can tell, it looks like an app that will allow a user to configure their webcam though this Metro UI based app. This feature looks to be a part of Microsoft’s tablet experience.

Microsoft has begun to distribute these early copies of Windows 8 to OEMs though its Connect program. Stay tuned as we keep you posted on any late breaking Windows 8 news. For up-to-date news on Windows 8, you can check out our Windows 8 page.
