“Get an incredible reading experience with NOOK for Windows 8. Choose from NOOK books, magazines, newspapers, and comics on your Windows 8 tablet and PC. Shop over 3 million titles including New York Times bestsellers, new releases, and the hottest newsstand issues. Sample any NOOK Book for FREE – or try any newspaper or magazine subscription for 14 days, including Us Weekly, O, The Oprah Magazine, National Geographic, and USA Today FREE for 14 Days,” the app description reads. This app supports the Nook comics feature, which lets you read comics, graphic novels, and manga. This app also allows users to customize their reading experience with different fonts, line spacing, and themes. Don’t want to purchase a book to try out the app? That’s fine, the app comes with free books! One of the coolest feature of this app is that you will never lose your place when reading a book since the Nook app will sync the last page you have read across your tablet or PC or Nook device.
