Along with a new Dev Channel build (23511), Microsoft today has released a new Canary Channel build, coming in at 25915. Perhaps the biggest news in this build are two fixes that have plagued previous Canary Channel builds:
- The issue that resulted in some Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel on ASUS devices or PCs with ASUS motherboards has been resolved and these Insiders should receive this flight.
- Ethernet-connected devices will no longer lose network connectivity after updating to this build.
But there is more, including a number of features moved from previous Dev Channel builds to Canary, including modernized versions of File Explorer Home, the Address bar, Details pane, and more.
Also new for this build is the first appearance in Canary for The New Outlook for Windows as an inbox app:
Starting with this build, the new Outlook for Windows Preview is now an inbox app. With the new Outlook for Windows, you can connect work and personal emails, calendars, and contacts in one secure place.
And finally, a couple of refresh rate changes: first, you’ll now be able to set different refresh rates on different monitors, and Dynamic Refresh Rate (DRR) will be set to the lowest refresh rate when Battery saver is enabled.
