It’s time for another Windows Insider update for the Beta Channel(s), with the version numbers now sitting at 22621.1028 (new features off by default), and 22623.1028 (new features rolling out).

The “new features rolling out” build (22623) is getting fixes for explorer.exe crashing in safe mode, some taskbar fixes, an updated battery icon tooltip that now lets you know when your device is charging slowly, a fix for media controls in Quick Settings, and more.

Both versions of the new Beta build get a fix for gaming performance:

  • We fixed an issue that affected some games and applications. This issue was related to GPU performance debugging features. This lowered the expected game performance.

There’s also a list of Known Issues for the Beta Channel builds, be sure and check them out over at the Windows Insider blog post.
