Microsoft has started testing two new useful improvements for its Windows 10 Your Phone with Windows Insiders. Your Phone already supports message syncing with Android phones, but until now the app didn’t display any contact pictures for your contacts. After listening to user feedback, Microsoft is changing this with the latest preview version, which will now display the same profile pictures for your contacts as the ones already present on your Android phone.

You asked for it #WindowsInsiders We have now started rolling out contact pictures in #YourPhone . So if you have photos assigned to your contacts on your Android phone you’ll see those same photos for them in the app. pic.twitter.com/6k57KaRtcB

The other Your Phone improvement that Windows Insiders can now test is the ability to save any synced pictures directly on your PC. The new option can be found after doing a right click on any picture, right under the existing Copy and Share features.

We added another handy option to the right-click menu for photos in #YourPhone app. In addition to copy & share you can now save a photo directly into your PC! What else would you like us see add to the app? Submit your suggestions in Feedback Hub! pic.twitter.com/yx68KEZqH1

Your Phone is shaping up to become an essential Windows 10 app for Android users. Android now has more synergies with Windows 10 than Windows 10 Mobile ever had, and Microsoft is also started rolling out a new notification syncing feature for select smartphone models. We’re looking forward to seeing if Microsoft will reveal more about the future of Your Phone during the company’s Build developer conference next week.
