Windows 10 Spotify app updates with support for Chromecast devices

The official Spotify app for Windows 10 devices updated this week and finally added support for Chromecast-enabled devices.

The ability to cast to Chromecast devices had been available on the iOS and Android Spotify apps for a long while now but for some reason it had taken a while to roll out to the desktop computers. From today, Mac computers will also be able to use Chromecast.

Spotify’s various apps have updated quite a bit this year and they’re set to evolve even more over the coming months with the planned addition of support for video podcasts. The Spotify app for Xbox consoles even got a complete revamp recently with a new design and easier navigation.
