Microsoft has released a new Windows 10 Anniversary SDK Preview to be used in conjunction with the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview. Overall, the Preview SDK Build 14388 has bug fixes and has under development changes to the API surface area.
Of course, it is worth noting that the Windows 10 SDK Preview is pre-release and can not be used in a production environment, meaning that the SDK should only be installed on a test machine, and should not be installed if you are working on an application you need to submit to the store. Additionally, Microsoft is noting that while the EULA does state this is an RTM release, it is not. This release does not have a go-live license. Apps built with this SDK will not be allowed to be on-boarded to the store.
The Windows 10 Anniversary Update is getting closer, so this is a great opportunity to start testing end to end with the new APIs which the Windows 10 Anniversary Update provides. If you’re interested, the Preview SDK can be downloaded from the developer section on Windows Insider.
