Windows 10 Mobile Store gets the Fluent Design treatment

Laurent Giret

The Microsoft Store has just been updated on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile this week, and the latest version introduces some nice-looking Fluent Design elements on mobile. As spotted by All About Windows Phone, the sliding panel that pop ups when you tap the hamburger menu is now translucent, and there is also a subtle “reveal” or touch of light effect when you tap any of the items in the list. Overall, it’s a really beautiful redesign.

We received this update on a recent Lumia running the Fall Creators Update as well as an older model still running the Creators Update. Anyway, the version 11710.1000.94.0 of the Microsoft Store app is what you should be looking for. Let us know in the comments if you like these latest Fluent Design touches on Microsoft’s mobile OS.
