Microsoft’s Windows Insider team has just seeded another version of the October 2018 Update to Slow and Preview Ring Insiders, the build 17763.107. This latest cumulative update fixes the zip file extraction issue that has been recently discovered by Windows Insider, and it also addresses another issue related to roaming profiles.
Here is the list below:
- We fixed the issue where dragging (extracting) files from a .zip file in File Explorer to a write-protected location you don’t get a “Do you want to replace these files” prompt and the copy action fails silently.
- We fixed an issue causing roaming profiles to not work correctly.
Microsoft now appears to have finally fixed the most serious bugs affecting the October 2018 Update, and we remind you that the deleted files issue that impacted some users upgrading from the April 2018 Update was previously addressed earlier this month. Hopefully, Microsoft and Windows Insiders won’t discover new issues that may have slipped through the cracks during the testing period, as we’re now just a day away from the end of October.
Update 10/31: A previous version of this article mistakenly mentioned previous known issues in the build 17763 that have since been addressed in previous cumulative updates, we apologize for the error.
