Windows 10: Icons receive a major overhaul, finally look good

Windows 10

Windows 10 is almost ready, if you didn’t know. We’re about a couple months away from RTM, meaning the final adjustments and changes are finally making their way to the main development branches. Icons, which have been somewhat controversial through the Insider program, have finally received a much needed ovehaul.

The overhauled icons are the same ones which Microsoft asked users to vote for in a survey around WinHEC 2015. They are a mix of Windows 7 and Windows 8, which overall makes for a rather nice icon.

Pretty much all the main icons have been given this new overhaul, including folders, hard drives, the File Explorer icon, This PC, and a number of others which you can see above.

Windows 10 Build 10125 is an unreleased and unleaked build. Do you like the look of these new icons?
