According to new data from Steam’s Hardware and Software Survey, Microsoft’s latest operating system Windows 10 continues to grow in popularity with Steam gamers. In fact, Windows 10 64bit is the most popular Windows version used by Steam gamers, claiming 42.94% (an increase of 3.26% compared to the previous month).
Steam, for those curious, is a digital distribution platform developed by Valve, allowing PC gamers the ability to easily install and automatically update games on multiple computers.
Windows 10 64bit accounts for 42.94% usage, while Windows 10 32bit accounts for 1.52%. Windows 7 64bit retains the second most popular operating system slot with 30.61% usage, having dropped by 1.64% from the previous month. You can check out the survey here.
Microsoft recently revealed that over 350 million devices are now running Windows 10 and customer engagement has been “incredible” with more than 135 billion hours of use, marking a new milestone for Microsoft’s latest operating system.
