Windows 10 build 9926 gets new hotfixes in preparation for the next build

Microsoft has rolled out a total of three hotfixes today for Windows 10 build 9926, the latest build of Windows 10 available for desktop users who are enrolled in the Windows Insider Program. These fixes have been rolled out in preparation for the release of the next desktop build.

Microsoft has rolled out KB3040021, KB3038930, and KB3021952 to Windows Update for those of you running Windows 10 build 9926. KB3021952 is an IE security update, while the other two are fixes to prepare Windows 10 to update to the next newest build when it comes available — which should be very soon.

Head over to the Settings app and tap on “Update and Recovery” to snag these updates. Let us know if you encounter any issues. We’ll have more on this particular hotfixes as details emerge. Are you ready to test the next Windows 10 build for desktop?
