WinBeta: Download our Android and Windows Phone 7.5 Mango App!

Have an Android-powered device or a newly updated Windows Phone 7.5 Mango smartphone? Want a native app to visit winbeta.org? Well, your dreams have come true! We are pleased to introduce two new apps that allow you to read up on the latest Microsoft and technology news right on your Android or Windows Phone device!

Whether at home or on the go, our Android and WP7 apps make it easy to read the latest Microsoft and technology news. Just fire up the app or scroll through the home screen widget to view the latest news.

Our Android app is pretty simple to use. Simple download and install it on your Android phone and you are ready to go. Fire up the app and you can view the latest news, set the refresh rate from every 10 minutes to every day, as well as view the latest news on your homescreen as a widget. You’ll even get a notification when new stories are posted on the site.

These apps are powered by Mippin, who I might add does a great job with these apps, and are fast and reliable.

Mippin has the awesome ability to repackage web content into a beautiful app for various devices and platforms. For example, you can browse hundreds of free content sources on mippin.com via your handset and you can simply download those sources into an app and view it on your phone. Mippin takes the site’s RSS feed and creates a beautiful interface for your mobile device. Their service is also amazing.

In a day and age where the majority of our computing activity takes place on our smarphones, having an app for your site is a necessity.

You can download the Android App here

You can also download the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango app here (A review for the Mango app will be coming soon!)
