Where to watch the MINECON 2015 livestream

This year’s Minecraft convention, MINECON is happening this weekend on the 4th and 5th of July in London and for all of the Minecraft fans who can’t make it across the pond for the celebration, several options are being made available to view livestreams of the event.

Viewers will be able to watch a general livestream on Mojang’s YouTube Channel of all of the events as they happen or view three location and event specific Twitch streams at twitch.tv/minecon;

twitch.tv/mojang – The main MINECON stream, from the Studio in the Expo Hall (North Halls)

twitch.tv/mineconstage – Dedicated Main Stage Stream (South Halls)

twitch.tv/mineconpanel – Dedicated Panel Room 1 Stream (S1 & S2)

Here’s a copy of the full schedule. Note that the times given are for local London time so if you’re in a different time zone, you’ll have to make the adjustments accordingly.

MINECON has been held annually since 2010 in a variety of different locations ranging from Washington State, Las Vegas, Disneyland Paris and Orlando, Florida. This will be the first time it has been held in London.

In addition to keynote speeches from members of the Minecraft community, costume contests and other competitions, the convention is also a place where official announcements can be made regarding the franchise’s future. One such announcement expected to happen this weekend is the reveal of more details relating to Telltale Games’ story mode for Minecraft which they’re developing.

Will you be going to MINECON this year or will you be watching one (or all!) of the livestreams? Excited for the Minecraft story mode? Let us know in the comments below.
